Benefits in Nonprofit Organizations Survey – 8th Edition
Abbott, Langer Association Surveys has been a trusted source for compensation and benefits data since 1967. Our 2008 Benefits in Nonprofit Organizations Survey is the eighth edition of our survey which specializes in employee benefits offered by nonprofit organizations. This survey was released on July 1, 2008.
Over the period from 2001 to 2007, health insurance costs grew more than four times faster than earnings growth! It's no wonder that employees and employers alike are paying increased attention to health care costs. More than 200 nonprofit organizations representing 26 nonprofit types participated in the Benefits in Nonprofit Organizations Survey in 2008. Data for 326 medical plans covering 27,986 employees were reported in the sample. Employer and employee dental costs were reported for 207 dental plans.
The content and variety of benefits reported in the 2008 Benefits in Nonprofit Organizations Survey - 8th Edition differs significantly from prior editions with more concentration on employer and employee benefit costs. Work hours and overtime practices were excluded from data collection. Instead, detailed data is provided on the top featured benefits listed below.
