US National's Low Cost Housing Construction and Services Salary Survey reports nonprofit compensation survey data for 147 benchmark jobs, accompanied by verifying source comparisons used by the IRS, courts, and 10,000 subscribers. Abbott, Langer Association Surveys is the sponsor of this 2009 participant and digitized wage, incentive, and compensation survey for low cost housing construction and services entities, available by organization size, nationally or by state.
IRS Form 990 has been dramatically revised as it relates to executive salaries; review the changed form, instructions, and rationale for the changes at the charities section of the IRS website. Organizations must report on the process of setting top management pay and, according to the IRS, that process should include the following:
Review and approval by a board;
No person involved in compensation decisions having a conflict of interest; and
Use of comparable data (salaries for like jobs in like organizations under like circumstances)
The Low Cost Housing Construction and Services Salary Survey reports market-based pay data for 24 executive compensation and salary comparisons and 123 non-management salary benchmark jobs. Verifying sources include ERI's April 2009 exclusively licensed Executive Compensation Assessor and Salary Assessor (both with for-profit data), along with ERI'sComparables Nonprofit Assessor and Tax-Exempt Survey databases.
Two pages of low cost housing construction and services information are reported for each of 147 benchmark jobs, including job descriptions, total annual direct compensation, survey means, survey medians, percentiles, allowances, graphs with data points vs. years of experience, and trended demographic estimates from ERI'sGeographic Assessor and Pay Survey.
