The median income reported in a recent survey of plant/facilities/maintenance management & engineering pay was $72,100, according to Dr. Steven Langer, President of Abbott, Langer Association Surveys, Crete, IL. However, reported incomes ranged from as little as $16,000 to well over $250,000.
Median incomes ranged from $95,750 for Plant/Facilities/Maintenance Engineering Directors who were responsible for multiple locations, but whose responsibilities were not limited to plant/facilities and/or maintenance engineering management (with 10% making under $58,896 and 10% making over $160,000) to $65,700 for non-supervisory Plant/Facilities and/or Maintenance Engineers whose responsibilities included both plant/facilities and/or maintenance engineering and other functions (with 10% making under $45,000 and 10% making over $93,220).
