Seeing out salary survey reference points against which pay in local government can be compared?
Oklahoma's City & County Government Service Organizations Survey provides three sources of data for comparing compensation in local government entities. ERI Salary Surveys is the sponsor of the 2008 City & County Government Compensation Survey, which is available for each state and on a national basis by entity size.
The 2008 City & County Government Compensation Survey reports comprehensive market-based pay data for approximately 275 benchmark job titles, including 17 executive titles, in local government. This survey provides 3 sources of data to include pay data extracted from tax-exempt public compensation databases, for-profit compensation data taken from ERI databases, and participant data from local government entities. Two pages of data are reported for each benchmark job and include a benchmark job description, incumbent counts, total annual compensation, survey mean, survey median, percentiles, incentive pay, rates of error, graphs with dots representing a statistical population, trended EEO-1 demographic estimates from ERI’s Geographic Assessor, and Selected Characteristics of Occupation (SCO). This survey report consists of more than 500 pages.
